New Housekeeper award effective 1 January 2014
Thursday, 14 August, 2014    Author: Chris Reside

The Abbeyfield Society Supportive Houses Award expires as a function of law on 31 December 2013 and from Wednesday 1 January 2014 all Abbeyfield Housekeepers will be employed under the Social Community Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 (SCHADS Award).

The SCHADS Award is one of 122 modern awards which replace hundreds of previous federal and state awards. Modern awards were introduced in January 2010 and now cover most employers and employees in the national workplace relations system.

Details of the application of the SCHADS Award to Abbeyfield Houses is available in the members section of the Abbeyfield Australia website.
